Tour Itinerary

Arrive Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, set against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative and assisted with a comfortable transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

City tour of Kathmandu
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley’s cultural and spiritual landmarks. Begin with Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a major pilgrimage site. Continue to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO-listed Hindu temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. Later, explore the ancient royal cities of Bhaktapur and Patan, known for their beautifully preserved courtyards, temples, wood carvings, and traditional Newari architecture. In the evening, visit the lively Thamel area for shopping and leisure. You will also receive blessings and a traditional tika from the living goddess Kumari, followed by a farewell Nepalese dinner with cultural dance performances at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Travel to Nagarkot, en-route visit Bhaktapur
Today after breakfast, you will have a full day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. Enjoy a city sightseeing tour with visits to Buddhist Stupa of Boudhanath-a colossal ancient stupa and the centre of Tibetan Buddhism in the world (time permitting) and Pashupatinath temple, the Temple of Lord Shiva situated on the bank of the Holy Bagmati River. In the evening, we shall proceed towards Swoyambhunath Stupa- also known as monkey temple amongst tourists, provides a fascinating view of the valley, surrounding hills and snow-capped mountain at the distance on a clear day. Continue our tour to the heart of Kathmandu-Kathmandu Durbar Square- one of the world’s highest concentrations of well-preserved ancient buildings, making for a stunning open-air museum. Later in the evening enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant serving authentic Nepalese cuisine.

Hike to Changunarayan and travel to Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a hike from Nagarkot to Telkot and Changunarayan. This trail is renowned for its breathtaking Himalayan vistas, lush forests, and ancient temples. Spanning 12-15 kilometres, the moderate-level hike takes approximately 4-6 hours, offering an enriching blend of adventure and cultural exploration. The well-marked trail winds through terraced fields, charming villages, and dense forests, providing opportunities to interact with friendly locals, savor authentic Nepali cuisine, and experience the region’s rich heritage. The hike concludes at the UNESCO-listed Changunarayan Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley. Return to Kathmandu and cap off the day with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant featuring a cultural program.
